*TZP (Tetragonal Zirconia Polycrystal) is a biocompatible ceramic consisting of over 95% zirconia (ZrO2). Its properties include outstanding corrosion resistance, a hardness offering scratch resistance (1,400 Vickers) and toughness superior to that of sapphire, combined with a desirably low density of around 6 g/cm3. The sub-micron grain size also provides an excellent surface finish for a stunning matte effect. A long and arduous machining and grinding process using diamond tools is required to create the complex shapes of the bezels.
