Description
The RM 43-01 Tourbillon Split-Seconds Chronograph Ferrari is the latest powerhouse from Richard Mille—a visceral showcase of what unfolds when two titans, Ferrari and Richard Mille, unite under a shared vision of performance and innovation. Following the groundbreaking RM UP-01 from 2022, this second collaborative effort doesn’t just follow up—it escalates. By fusing one of watchmaking’s most intricate complications with a design language born in Maranello, the RM 43-01 becomes more than a timepiece—it’s a machine.
Released in two striking limited editions—75 pieces in microblasted and polished grade 5 titanium with a Carbon TPT® caseband, and 75 in full Carbon TPT®—the RM 43-01 embodies a dual spirit: part refined grand tourer, part raw track monster. Ferrari’s Centro Stile was deeply involved in its design DNA, influencing everything from the crown and strap to the Prancing Horse-emblazoned titanium plate, shaped in homage to the 499P’s rear wing. The openworked dial channels the cockpit of a Ferrari, while sharp-edged bridges, raised contours, and golden hex screws mirror the power and precision of Ferrari engine architecture.
Beneath the bold exterior beats a movement crafted over three years from the ground up. Developed alongside Audemars Piguet Le Locle, the RM43-01 calibre is anchored by a highly skeletonized grade 5 titanium baseplate and reinforced with bridges in both titanium and Carbon TPT®. It delivers a robust 70-hour power reserve and packs standout innovations like an off-center tourbillon, torque indicator, and a kinetic seconds display featuring rotating radial blades. The split-seconds chronograph is not only ultra-precise but optimized for energy efficiency and built to withstand the stresses of performance use.
Altogether, the RM 43-01 is a sculptural, high-performance homage to Ferrari’s legacy and Richard Mille’s relentless pursuit of horological extremes. Every contour, component, and material serves a purpose—resulting in a timepiece that doesn’t merely track time, but lives it—at full throttle.
