RM 43-01 Ferrari Tourbillon Split-Seconds Chronograph (Carbon)

Richard Mille’s latest creation, the RM 43-01 Tourbillon Split-Seconds Chronograph Ferrari, is a visceral demonstration of what happens when two giants—Ferrari and Richard Mille—join forces with a shared obsession for performance and innovation.

Description

Richard Mille’s RM 43-01 Tourbillon Split-Seconds Chronograph Ferrari is a bold testament to what unfolds when two icons—Ferrari and Richard Mille—channel their mutual obsession with precision, speed, and innovation. Building on the ultra-thin brilliance of the RM UP-01 from 2022, this second collaboration shifts gears dramatically, pairing one of horology’s most demanding complications with the sleek, high-performance design language forged in Maranello.

Crafted in two strikingly distinct limited editions—75 pieces in microblasted and polished grade 5 titanium with a Carbon TPT® caseband, and 75 in full Carbon TPT®—the RM 43-01 encapsulates a dual identity: equal parts refined driver and full-throttle racer. With Ferrari’s Centro Stile deeply involved in its design, details like the sculpted crown, strap, and a titanium Prancing Horse plate—shaped after the rear wing of the 499P—infuse the watch with unmistakable Scuderia spirit. The openworked dial evokes a Ferrari dashboard, while angular bridges, elevated ridges, and golden hex screws echo the mechanical beauty of an engine block.

At its heart lies a movement engineered from scratch over three years, in collaboration with Audemars Piguet Le Locle. The RM43-01 calibre features a skeletonized grade 5 titanium baseplate and bridges crafted from both titanium and Carbon TPT®. Boasting a 70-hour power reserve, the movement includes an off-center tourbillon, a torque indicator, and a kinetic seconds display with spinning radial blades. The split-seconds chronograph has been meticulously refined for durability and energy efficiency, rigorously tested through cutting-edge simulation.

The RM 43-01 is more than a watch—it’s a kinetic sculpture, a technical tour de force, and a full-throttle homage to Ferrari’s legacy and Richard Mille’s relentless drive to redefine the limits of timekeeping. Every line and component is engineered with intent, delivering a timepiece that doesn’t just track time—it races alongside it.
