Description
This model features a deep blue dial and a two-tone Cerachrom insert in red and blue ceramic. In addition to the traditional hour, minute, and seconds hands, the GMT-Master II features an additional arrow-tipped hand that completes a full 24-hour rotation, as well as a bidirectional rotating bezel with 24-hour graduations.
A distinctively colored 24-hour hand indicates the reference time, which can be read off the bezel’s graduations and corresponds to the time in the first time zone (e.g., the traveler’s hometown). The traveler’s local time can be easily adjusted in one-hour increments using an ingenious mechanism operated by the winding crown. The hour hand can be adjusted clockwise or counterclockwise independently of the minute and second hands. This allows travelers to adjust to the new time zone without compromising the precision of the time display.
